JAN.2012 invitation to a 30 DAY CHALLENGE 

Psalm 46:10, it says this; "Be still and know that I am God." This is something that I struggle with daily. Everything is trying to eat up my time…. Using up the MARGIN. The emails..... the voice mails.... the phones... the computers etc…..
So I invite every one of you to join with me in a 30 DAY CHALLENGE.

SO HERE’S HOW IT WORKS.
•We take five minutes a day to be still, to do nothing except to be in God's presence. Taking the time to just listen, not doing anything... just being.
• In order to help us keep on track with this 30 Day challenge we have for everyone a Journal. So in your 5 minute quiet time if God speaks to you in anyway… you can jot it down. Please let us know if you would like a journal.
ARE YOU WILLING TO MAKE A COMMITMENT TO TAKE THIS 30 DAY CHALLENGE WITH ME?

More about making time, taking time for Jesus….

Read Luke 10: 38-42  Now in this story the sisters both had an opportunity to spend time with Jesus but Martha decided she didn't have any MARGIN, no spare time in her life to spend with Jesus but Mary had MARGIN for Jesus.

Just like Martha & Mary we all have the CHOICE to put the margins in our life or not. What happens when our MARGIN DECREASES.... our STRESS INCREASES.

Are you stressed out, feeling at times  overwhelmed, don’t have enough time in the day to get it all done?
Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:28-29

I hope that we are able to learn from Jesus to find the rest that he offers for our souls.

The Spirit of Christmas

Connie shares....  If you only go to one Christmas service than I would recommend "The Spirit of Christmas" put on by JOURNEY. Young or "young at heart" you will leave with a feeling of good will and understanding of the true meaning of Christmas.

Follow Up!
What a special night is was! We had a full house, baby Jesus was vocal, and God's incredible message of HOPE and JOY was there for all to receive! What wonderful way to close out our year!

We want to thank everyone who was part of making this such a special night. From the cast n 'crew to all those who took time out of their busy schedule to come and experience THE SPIRT OF CHRISTMAS!

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD 2011

This year we are overjoyed to share that Journey with the help of friends and family filled 108 Christmas shoe boxes! That is double what we did last year!
 
On behalf of Journey Community Church we send out a very special thank to everyone who help make this possible. The power that is in the act of kindness is far greater than we can even imagine to those children who will be receiving the shoe boxes. For most of them this will be the first gift they have ever received.
 
Once again we thank you for helping us make this possible.
